FILM OPENING

With opening titles, it always a question of how much of the credits one includes, it can go a full production crew and cast, or as in this case it is reduced to the production and distribution companies, where not even all are mentioned (a sign of role in the production). Universal Pictures is one of the Big Six (some argue Big Seven) conglomerates. Relativity Media has been left out.

CAST

The main actor, Emma Roberts, had been in a succesfull teen show, so she was popular for a teen audience, with viewers of... Thr producers picked a leading actress whome they hoped that viewers would remember as part of their growing up.

DISTRIBUTION

This film did not get a release in North America, and went straight to DVD. It only made $2m more than its budget (in order to be seen as financially successful, the film needs to be three times as much as the box office)
