PRODUCTION UPDATE on Filming Fill-In for Hugh's Arrival At School.

Summary

I managed to get Sebastian Hickey also managed to join the shoot. There was one issue that I had forgotten but was soon sorted, asking permission from the teachers for my actors to be just on the outskirts of school premises, although as I hoped our head of secondary had no objection. But in feature when using students below Sixth Form as actors during school time this is something I will always have to clear with the Head of Secondary/the Key Stage or the student's form tutor

The timing worked more or less pretty well, I managed to finish ten minutes before afternoon lessons started. It took a while however to get them to react rightly to an imagined Hugh. However the final take is un doubtley the best, which is the one I will use. However, Jason sweared using the f-word. The audio is muffled, but it probably will be heard by some of the audience. If my film gets a PG-13 rating in the USA, this would be the film's f-bomb.

Representation

- Only sound is Jason's voice, however the other nationalities of Swedish and Irish-Italian won't be recognised.
- In order not to make Jason's character look like the stereotype of a drug dealer, I made sure he took his hood off
- Also Simon often wears a hairband. While in real life he doesn't wear it with any connotative intentions of gender or sexuality, this could be read as a feminine stereotype of a gay male.
