In order to just guarantee that English literary specialists recognise the quote, I played the segment of the opening quote from Shakespeare to my form tutor who is also the Head of English at our school, to see if he would immediately recognise it. He did fully recognise it from the play and knew exactly the narrative context, that of Macbeth just having found out about his wife's( Lady Macbeth) suicide.
