AUDIENCE FEEDBACK - Rough Cut 13

I used Facebook again.

A 20-year old male friend of mine from my old school, Venezualan, grown up in Germany (speaks English fluently). He would seem to fit the stereotype of male viewers of rom-coms watching for mainly for the comedy ("I like comedies, yeah romantic stuff, to a certain degree")

1. What did u like, what didn't you like?
2. Did u recognize the genre?
3. What would u say is the target audience in terms of age, sexuality, ethnicity and gender. Would u call it a mainstream film?
4. Is it clear which of the characters is protagonist?
5. Did you feel any sympathy or hatred for any of the characters?
6. What do you feel as a student about the school environment?
7. Did you recognize the music?
8. Ok, now to reveal the genre: a common mixture of teen highschoolcoming of age and romantic comedy
9. Would u say ur a fan of these genres? If not do u watch them at all? Do u know the classics such as in the teen genre: American Graffiti, The Breakfast Club, 10 Things I Hate About You, Napoleon Dynamite, American Pie, Juno, The Fault In Our Stars, in the rom-com genre: Some Like It Hot, When Harry Met Sally, Four Weddings & A Funeral, Love Actually, Bridget Jones and films by Woody Allan such as Manhattan and Midnight In Paris
10. Would u watch this film if you saw a trailer of it?
11. What is ur preferred method of watching films: cinema, TV, computer, tablet smartphone?
12. Do you like the title, CrossWord. What does the title make you think of, without thinking of the film?
13. What would u say about the representation of the characters, are they stereotypes or more than that?
14. Can u think of a teen film or any film u've watched where the main character wasn't hererosexual and didn't die in the end

1. I liked how you seemed to play some douchebag xD tho a little too cheerful2. Uh.. school problems?3. Teenagers? Is there a specific targeted sexuality/gender? I mean, I got the problem, lesbian liking a straight girl, I guess, simplistically said, but wouldn't the targets be all? To reflect about those?4. The girl that was seen changing clothes after waking up, I assume? And maybe the guy you spoke for5. It was pretty short, so I didn't get much time to get attached to anything, but I guess I felt a little.. sad? For the girl waving at the other while the other was not waving to her but to the dude coming at her.. apart from that, not really6. I got no idea what you want me to say ๐Ÿ˜…7. Uh... I think I've heard sth similar, maybe even that one, but can't say for sure8. Romantic comedy, right, yeah, I guess your voice already hinted towards the comedy part and the romantic... yeah, that was more or less shown, tho it's not too obvious, I think ๐Ÿ™ŠI like comedies, yeah, romantic stuff... to a certain degree, as long as it's not way too cheesy or.. a women's film xD tho I've watched those too, like "P.S. I love You" just isn't my cup of tea, to say it like you would ๐Ÿ˜€ no, no, no, no, ofc (ami pie), no, no, no, no.. ok, I'm gonna stop saying no to each, I haven't even heard of any of those apart from American pie, which I've watched every one but the last ๐Ÿ˜€10. Maybe, tho lately I've been wanting to watch a lot of films and haven't gotten to it, so no idea..11. Films, I'd say cinema, tho pc connected to the tv works just as good, let's say if it's a good one that's currently running, I'll go to the cinema (if I find someone to go watch it with me), otherwise, I'll just lay back and watch it at home12. That.. was not clear to me, so it's called Crossword? ๐Ÿ˜… you need to show it a little longer ๐Ÿ˜ฎ but to answer your question.. uhm.. interesting choice, def, I have no idea whether I like it or not, I'd say rather yes, but till now only thing I saw that had sth to do with it was the end with your name under one.. and the word itself makes me think of.. well, a Crossword, like in the newspaper.. Maybe a little about words that "cross" each other, as in similar words/synonyms.. but that's it13. That was pretty short and I just watched it once now, I'd have to rewatch and pay more attention to the voices, also concentrate more on what she said cause I didn't get anything, almost, her voice was rather low, but from what I could see and what I did hear, she seems to be a stereo type, the "weird" one no one wants to talk to cause she's "different".. the guy.. seemed a lot like the typical "cool guy" *but*.. the tone, the enthusiasm in his (your) voice and the fact that he said he'd try not to be a jerk (or sth like that) makes him more than just your regular stereotype "cool" guy..14. Oh wow.. that's a good question.. I don't even know if I can name a film where the main character was (openly) bi-/homosexual to be honest.. and now that you say it, if it was kinda hinted or sth like that, it was always a tragic film, where the main character dies in the end.. I think.. it's been a while since I watched any other film that the mainstream comic hero films of marvel or dc.. too long actually.. to be honest, in the last year I've only watched like.. 5 films or so, I've been rather watching series (I say it cause I guess this might be sth you'd like for the interview on Films? If not, leave that out, in just mixing this like an interview but with a friend so xD)
